Alchemistresses is a tabletop roleplaying game designed to let you play out a season of a magical girl anime. Players will take on the role of everyday teens going to high school and dealing with all of the shenanigans that ensue. But there is something very special about these particular teens. They are the reincarnations of very powerful magical beings from the ancient past. They are the Mistresses of the five elements - the Alchemistresses.
The Alchemistresses have forgotten who they were and what they could do. But when the world needs them again, their magic starts to return, along with tantalizing glimpses of their past lives.
Play Alchemistresses to find out: who were you then? Who are you now? What will you give to save the world?

Hey! I was wondering if there's anywhere I can get a physical copy of this game? My local game store had it a couple months ago and then didn’t restock it.
We have a very limited number of physical copies leftover from our crowdfunding campaign that we bring with us to conventions, and are available (in small numbers) by request for retailers. We also do occasionally stock them in cities we visit too-- though don't know when they sell out!
We'll definitely announce if we're ever able to do a second print run : )

If I'm reading the rules right, you can get one free Upgrade to a roll if you have a relevant Conviction but any other Upgrades require Alchemy Points. Is that right?
Hi! Sorry for the delay in response-- Gal Pal Games spent the last month moving ; )
This is correct! You can upgrade free of cost with as many convictions as are applicable (so for example, your personal goal and greatest fear can both be used to upgrade two times without cost), anything beyond this needs to be paid for with an Alchemy point (like using your age, or facts from you bio).
There are som exceptions that you don't need to pay for (like when you get a magical item), but those are noted in the Special Memories section!
